Public Relations Resources

Please see below for a list of resources that can be downloaded and used to help you with public relations in District 64!

Websites attracting new members!

We can learn about what we like and how to make our website pop by viewing the winners and entrants in our 2011 website contest! You too can create a website on Wordpress, Google or Free Toast Host.  See http://www.toastmasters.org/FreeWebsites for guidelines and "how-to" documents. While the look of the website including the banner will be similar for all Toastmasters Clubs, what will make yours stand out is the way you personalize it for your club! Add special events, pictures, etc.

Links to all sites are provided below! (put links here again, please)

Talking Up Toastmasters ( DOC ) - Looking for ways to increase membership?  Here are hundreds of membership building ideas for you!

Toastmasters international has letterhead, business cards, tent name cards, and even banners for clubs to use.  http://www.toastmasters.org/stationery

- Toastmasters International Logos http://www.toastmasters.org/Logos

- Membership Tent Cards ( PDF ) - Try placing these handy tent cards in high traffic areas to increase the possibilities of frequent guests!  Courtesy of Mary McKee, Goodbye Jitters.

- Posters - Please see the pdf to view what the poster should look like. Use the doc documents to make these posters your own. Many clubs have Open Houses often - even once  a month. They can be just the same as a regular meeting with maybe a snack and an experienced Toastmaster who might say a little more than normal about the meeting roles and procedures. People are more likely to come to an Open House than a regular meeting, just because they think there will be more guests there and they won't be alone. Have fun!

- Business Cards - Try having each member pass out five business cards to your next open house or regular meeting. It is a fun way to get guests to come and members to buy into the idea that EACH AND EVERY club member is responsible for building membership.
