FAQs

What if I’m the only one who attends from my club?

No problem! While we encourage club executive teams to attend, we think it’s awesome that you want to attend – even if you’re by yourself! You’ll still have ample opportunity to learn and share with others regardless if you’re with other members of your club or not. If you’re a club executive officer, you can still earn Club Officer Training Round 2 credit for attending.

What if I’m not bringing a team or am even on a team? Can I still come?

Of course! It never hurts to add more tools to your toolbox. When it’s “team time” for your next project, you’ll be ready to go!

How should I sign up if I belong to multiple clubs?

Because we’re combining TLI with Club Officer Training (COT) Round 2, when you register, indicate which club you want to get COT Round 2 training credit for. For members who have more than one executive role, if you attend the entire day, you will receive COT Round 2 credit for each role.

Can I attend if I’m not in Toastmasters?

That would be great. You’ll not only learn about leadership you’ll also learn about Toastmasters and the opportunities available across our district for curious people like you!

What if I’m in Toastmasters but not from District 64?

You are still welcome to attend.

Can I pay in person?

Sorry! Not for this event!

When is the deadline for registration?

November 1st by midnight for the in-person event; November 17th for the limited access online experience.

Why do I need a minimum of 5 members to register in order to get the club discount?

We want to reward you for bringing your executive club team! (It will also earn your club the other half of your training goal for the Distinguished Club program.)

What if I don’t want or need credit for the Club Officer Training (COT) component?

We’re confident you will find our “team talks” engaging and useful even if you don’t need the COT Round 2 credit.

A historical look at the Fall TLI

Each fall District 64 hosts a TLI during Toastmasters Week (coincides with Toastmasters anniversary date of October 22).  This one day event contains:

  • Award ceremonies
  • Celebration for the outgoing District Director
  • Keynote address
  • Educational Session(s)
  • Networking with fellow Toastmasters
  • Lunch
  • Prizes
  • Announcements

Typically a Club will be called on to organize and Host the event.  In 2020 it was held online virtually by the clubs in Brandon and in 2021 again virtually online by the Key Club Toastmasters.  However, usually it is held in a venue suited to a crowd of 60 to 80 members.  A small recovery fee will be charged to cover the day’s expenses.
